LEMON ZEBRA
Ingredients
2
cups flour
1 cup butter, softened
½
cup powdered sugar
4 eggs, room temperature
1
1/3 cups sugar
dash
salt
6 Tablespoons lemon juice (8 T. if using fresh squeezed)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon lemon peel (1 T. if using freshly grated)
powdered
sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat
oven to 350°.
2. In
a medium bowl, combine flour, butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar, using your
fingers.
3. Mix
thoroughly until the mixture comes together into a ball.
4. Press into an ungreased 13x9 inch pan.

5. Bake
at 350° for 20 minutes.
6. Meanwhile,
in a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, salt, and lemon juice.
7. Whisk
in the 1/4 cup flour, baking powder and lemon peel.
8. Pour
the lemon mixture into the hot crust.
9. Return
to oven and continue to bake at 350° for another 25 minutes.
10. Cool;
cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
11. Remove
from pan before storing in the refrigerator.
