Calico Beans

This makes a great barbecue or picnic side dish.
Sweet and eclectic.

CALICO BEANS 

Ingredients
8  slices of bacon
1  medium onion, coarsely chopped
3/4  cup firmly packed brown sugar
½   cup apple cider vinegar
½   teaspoon garlic salt
½   teaspoon dry mustard
pepper to taste
1  (16 oz)  can green beans, drained
1  (16 oz)  can white butter beans, drained
1  (16 oz)  can pork and beans, with juices
1  (16 oz)  can kidney beans, with juices

Instructions
1.  Preheat oven to 350°.
2.  In a large skillet, fry the bacon to your preferred doneness.
3.  Remove the bacon from the frying pan and set aside.
4.  Save the crumbles from the bacon that are in the bottom of the skillet along with about 2 Tablespoons of the grease. 
5.  Into that same frying pan, saute the onions in the those bacon crumbles and 2 Tablespoons grease.
6.  Remove the skillet from the heat and to the sauted onions, stir in the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic salt, dry mustard and pepper.
7.  Now stir in the beans, one can at a time.
8.  Cut or break the bacon into bites size pieces and then add the bacon to the bean mixture.
9.  Thoroughly combine all the ingredients.
10.  Pour the bean mixture into an 8 X 8 inch baking dish.
11.  Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 hour.
